Dr. Maryam Rezaie
Born in Taiwan and known as “Dr. R,” Dr. Maryam Rezaie has always been a world traveler. Before becoming Tallahassee’s go-to orthodontist, she lived in Brazil, Belgium, Macau, and China, eventually moving to Miami, Florida, at 16. She graduated with honors from high school and Florida International University, followed by the University of Florida College of Dentistry, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2009. Dr. R’s dedication to dental care included mission trips to the Dominican Republic and co-founding the American Association of Public Health Dentistry’s second student chapter.
In 2010, Dr. R completed a General Practice Residency at the VA Medical Center in Riviera Beach, FL, receiving recognition for her commitment to US veterans’ well-being. After practicing in Maryland, she returned to Florida in 2013 to attend Jacksonville University School of Orthodontics, where she graduated with honors and served as both Student Vice President and Chief Resident. Her journey continued with prestigious practices in Kansas City and Pensacola before founding her own practice in Tallahassee. For the past three years, Dr. R has served on the board of the Leon County Dental Association and is currently its president.
Dr. R is the heart and soul of Vibrant Orthodontics, where she combines expert knowledge with a fun and engaging approach to care. Known for her warm personality, Dr. R ensures every visit is enjoyable and personalized. When she’s not crafting perfect smiles, she connects with the community through social media, community service, and events.
